Amendments to fixtures on 1st and 29th Sept.
For organisational reasons, regrettably , we will have to cancel the planned Kate Burge Sea to Summit race due on the 1st September.
MFR propose to replace this race with another and after long consideration would suggest that the Axnfell Race be moved to the 1st September (for both organisational and improved safety reasons). A medium category race will be identified to be run on the 29th September which ideally can include a junior/ short course which was not possible on the Sea to Summit race.
We are aware this proposed change may negatively impact any runners who intend to complete the league but still need to finish a long race and would be unable to run on the 1st Sept which is within the school holiday period or the 29th if you need a medium race to qualify?
If this is the case we kindly ask that you contact MFR to make us aware ASAP. Since this is pressing please do so before the 7th July using the MFR contact form (https://manxfellrunners.org/club)
The next race in the Callin Wild Fell League is the short, but lung busting, Carraghan on Wednesday 10th July at 19.00. The route is the same as for the past few years, starting and finishing at the bridge at the head of Injebreck reservoir. All runners follow the same route. The route will be flagged up through the trees. Registration will be at Ard Whallan Outdoor Education Centre from 18.00-18.45. We have access to an outside toilet here if needed.

Please CAR SHARE. There will be parking at Ardwhallan, as well as Colden plantation car parks. Please follow marshals’ instructions. Please avoid parking on the grass verges alongside the reservoir if possible. Do not park at the start/finish area, access required here in case of emergency.
Bring full race kit and be prepared to carry it. A decision will be made on the night if this requirement can be relaxed.
Finally, this race is run on PRIVATE LAND. We have been granted access for the race ONLY. Please do not recce the section above the fence line on Carraghan hill itself. Additionally, there are to be NO DOGS at all on the course, including at the start/finish area.
The Callin Wild Grand Tour of North Barrule is all set for next Tuesday - sign on from 6.00pm, races start at 7.00pm.
Please bring full race kit and be prepared to carry it. A decision will be made on the day if this requirement will be relaxed. Parking will be in a field off the Hibernia road, same place as last year - between the cattle grid by Dreamlang and the Ballure plantation. Look out for our fab hiviz heroes directing. Thanks to Philip Christian for the loan of the field.
Sign on from 6.00pm, will either be there OR in the start/finish area, depending on weather.
